For some reason, Hollywood decided to tab this location for the film 30 Minutes or Less. I've experienced pretty long wait times when picking pizza up and their staff was very unfriendly and rude. The pizza comes overloaded with cheese to the point of disgust and the atmosphere inside is cramped and dirty. Cheesy bread is literally a brick of white cheddar melted on top of french bread. Delivery charge is $3 even if you live around the block like I do. Store accepts credit card but only if the order is $8 or higher before tax.

I tried them again around 10:30 pm last night. they had only 1 piece of pizza ready for by-the-slice, I was a little afraid because it must be a little old since it was the last piece. A little sad to have to pay full price for an old piece of pizza, but it was still really good. this is a good sign. My next test is to buy a full pizza sometime and see if the quality and taste is still just as good.

My ex used to always take me here, and he loved the XL meat lovers. It was always so much food, that you could have a group of people over, and have plenty to share. I just visited again last week, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Someone commented that the bread sticks are under seasoned and bland, but perhaps this is just personal preference. They have garlic, parmesan and butter on them - but it's not overdone. That's how I like my bread sticks. They remind me of Little Caesars, but a lot less greasy. I don't need a mild heart attack when eating, but hey everyone's different. The sauce is very good, and the reason why I enjoyed the pie. I was also able to order online and pay, which made things a lot easier.

We ordered this pizza for drunk food a couple weeks ago and it was the most amazing thing on the planet. So we were craving it again tonight. 6:08pm - We went online to the website and ordered a 24" build your own pizza. A few minutes later we got a call from Vito's saying that they "did not have the 24" option available at this location." Uh... your website says differently. They can't give a refund because we ordered online. They said they would call in an order over at the nearby Mister Pizza which does have a 24" option for the same price. Okay, whatever, I just want pizza. 7:20pm - We call Mister Pizza wondering where our pizza is. They claim they never received the order. We call Vito's and they offer to send it over again and confirm that it's been received. We ask them to just make their largest pizza (20") and make up the price difference with something else. They agree and promise to call us when the delivery leaves the building. 8:20 - We call again, because at this point it's been over two hours since we placed our order. The person on the phone apologized again and gave us a 2 liter of pop for our troubles, which was nice, but doesn't really excuse what happened. She then went on to explain that there is only one delivery-person on staff and that it will be the next pizza to go out once he gets back...with no estimates on when that would be. 8:46 - Pizza is delivered. Room temperature because it was done before we called at 8:20. Never again. ETA: They have since removed the 24" pizza from the website.

Our order was completely wrong. They said rather than delivering a replacement order that they would give us a credit on our account for next time. They never said the credit expired after 30 days. It's been a couple months now and I went to use the credit, and the name that we used on the original order wasn't on their "list" so they denied us a re-order.

This. Place. Blows. Horrible wait times and mediocre pizza. I called after 1.5 hours of waiting, and the guy said "it's on the way" before I even gave a name/address. Pizza was delivered from a "scrap service" pickup truck... and was cold. This place is a joke.

Worst customer service EVER. I called to let them know about an over charge on my c.c. no big deal, so I call and i'm explaining my situation and long story short she gets all crappie with me and hands up on me like i did something wrong I couldn't believe it! O yeah there foods ok but I'd pass due just to there attitude to the customer. The ppl who keep that place open?...a little something to think about before you choose this place.

Maybe it was the shots of tequila prior (full disclosure), but Vito's kind of made my night, or should I say morning? Open late, delivered right to our hotel door, and in less than and hr (which is what we were quoted). Cheesy bread: Delicious & gooey. Pizza (pepperoni, sausage, bacon): Plenty of toppings, big sausage chunks, is this what heaven tastes like? Ranch for the dipping: On point! My experience was better than your average late night slapped together pie.

Made famous for their roll in the movie "30 Minuets of Less" This place has some pretty amazing pizza. I've only had the chance to come here on the way home from the bars and too much drinking, we'd stop the cab on the way home, quick grab a slice or two (Very cheap) say "Hi" to our favorite cashier, people watch for a minute, then head back home and devour, the amazing, greasy slice of heaven that you think is so good at that moment. Then you wake up in the morning with pizza sauce on your face, regret from the night before of smashing the pizza within 5 minute, and a few other questionable things. All in all, very good pizza, very friendly staff, just a dive pizza place that makes exceptional drunk people food!

Love that they deliver late bc im a bartender without many options at 2a, however the past two time I've ordered a bbq chicken pizza it had marinara on it as well, weird...and gross. The third time I tried to order bbq chicken, minus marinara (the elimate confusion) I was informed they were out. Bummer. Don't know if it was my bad luck or bad service but... I would however insist you try the ULTIMATE CHEESE BREAD....life changing :)

Ordered manicotti, a wet burrito, stromboli, and the new cheese tortellini with diced ham, mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes in an alfredo sauce. Delivery was on time, prices were decent, and everyone's food, except mine, was perfect. My tortelini, however, didn't have any ham at all, and the alfredo sauce was disgusting. It was basically curdled cream in butter. Kinda bummed out about it 'cause ordering from there was my idea in the first place.

Woman at the counter is nice. Pizza is excessively greasy and cheap tasting- but- when it's very late and bars let out it's edible and fairly priced. Not a ringing endorsement.

The pizza wasn't very good. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. No sauce, and the mushrooms were from a can and uncooked. Honestly, I'd recommend Pizza Hut instead. I only gave it three stars because the hubby said he liked his portion of the pizza (we split it in half and had different ingredients).

Vitos is an amazing pizza joint in Grand Rapids. It was even featured in the recent comedy 30 Minutes or Less which is great because this place certainly deserves recognition. They have all kinds of pictures and decorations from the film's production, which is also cool. I can't believe it took this long for someone to review this place. Everything on the menu is awesome. The hours are great. Everyday they are open until 3am and 4am on weekends. The staff is friendly and the menu is extensive and everything i've tried is great! Everything about the pizza is fantastic. It's a little pricey for the pies, but the sauce, crust, and toppings are all fresh and delicious. The pizzas are really huge. Each slice is the size of a small child. They put pride in their food. Generally though, I don't get the pizza because its expensive to order for just 1 person. The Stromboli, though, is amazing. They come in small and large. Small is two toppings and twice the size of my head. Its perfect. The large is, well, a monster. They are super cost efficient as well. The subs are also one of my top choices. The steak and cheese is gooey, hot, and delicious. They are only about 5-6$ and everything on the menu is the out the door price. They are even willing to deliver farther than they are supposed too. Vitos deserves to be tried by any pizza fan. I live right across the street on Gold st and go here every week. Give it a try and then try it again.

While I've never REALLY been all that into Vitos this has been my family's pizza spot since I was a kid and I've eaten here a lot. This is a slightly below average neighborhood pizza spot that really suffers from things like Yelp, unfortunately. This is a family place that offers the typical dinners and pizza and subs someone might pick up on their way home from work to feed their family. It's all perfectly acceptable and as someone that used to whine whenever we got pizza from here it really isn't all that bad, it grows on you and has a somewhat unique taste. I've also noticed that quality is inconsistent, sometimes I eat a slice and it's the bomb and other times it rots away in the fridge until I finally throw it out. One specific reason for this is that the doneness of their crust differs. If you get a larger pizza with more toppings your pizza can have a doughy/chewy taste that isn't there if you get a smaller pizza with less toppings. Their dough tastes best with a little crunch/crisp to the crust but that's not generally how you'll get it. Their subs are standard pizza place subs and even a little above average there. Their wait times are atrocious. There's no stopping in and waiting while they make you a pie. Call first! I would probably give Vitos 3 or 3.5 but the reviews really talking this place down are kind of disheartening.

Really? I know with late night you can't really be picky but... Come on now. Might be the worst I've ever had. Globs of mayo and cheese on each sandwich. Was it just thrown in the microwave and called "toasted"? Lettuce? Now that's a joke in its own! Poppers and mozzarella sticks both terrible-- lightly fried, cold inside... Place is less than half a mile away; wish I just went to bed. Maybe try the pizza, but why, everything else is closed?! Sorry but... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.... NEXT! (you'll thank me)

I placed an order online and received the confirmation email moments later. After 2 hours, which was over an hour after the projected delivery time, I called. I was told they had not received the order yet, but upon looking, it was just coming in. The woman on the phone told me she would rush it to get it out ASAP. After another hour of waiting, I called to cancel the order. 15 minutes later, the delivery guy showed up. I sent him back explaining I had cancelled the order after waiting 3 hours. I know their pizza is good, I've had it several times. But I will never order delivery again. They have some serious communication and service issues to work out.

Vito's is not a great place to get pizza. We got breadsticks and a veggie pizza. The breadsticks were underseasoned and bland. The pizza was okay, but we've had better. What really lowered our opinion of this place, however, was the service. The woman was rude and didn't bother to ask us what sauces we wanted for the breadsticks. When we asked for a different sauce than one of the one's given, we were told that we had to pay an additional 50 cents for sauce. Also, we were under the impression that we could get a discount with a college ID. Upon showing our college ID, we were told that we could not get a discount on a special. Well, there was no fine print that said you couldn't get a discount on a special. I don't think we'll be going here again.

Alrght! YES! YES! YES! Finally a pizza place in G.R, that does it right. it costs more, BUT this place uses the best ingredients.....and it shows up in the taste. Vito's serves a great $5 pizza during Art Prize...to bad they don't have it as part of their regular menu. Best place in G.R. for pizza.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
